Volunteer Spotlight: Liz Watson
I started volunteering with IYBI because I wanted to be part of something that brings genuine joy and recognition to children who may not always feel seen or celebrated. One moment that stands out is meeting a 15-year-old on his first day at the shelter; he was scared and overwhelmed, but after adding him to the birthday celebration just two days later, his reaction was unforgettable, full of gratitude and joy. For that short time, we were able to take away his worries and remind him just how special and valued he truly is.
